陈虹,生于新疆伊犁,毕业于新疆艺术学院国画系,研修于西安美术学院国画系,2007年结业于中国美术家协会高研班,2008年于国家画院周韶华工作室精英班结业。中国美术家协会会员,中国山水画研究院副秘书长。
2003年,作品《金秋》获第三届中国书画艺术华表奖大赛优秀奖。
2003年,作品《红樱桃》在澳门中国画展获银奖。
2004年,作品《春晓》参加“纪念邓小平100周年”美术作品展获银奖。
2006年,作品《金秋家园》参加2006年全国中国画展入选。
2006年,作品《金秋》参加“纪念中国美术大师李苦禅诞辰100周年”全国中国画展。
2007年,作品《秋韵》参加全国中国画展获优秀奖。

Chen Hong Biographical Sketch:
Chen Hong, born in Yili, Xinjiang, graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of Xinjiang Arts University and the Chinese Painting Department of Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts successively; Chen completed her advanced postgraduate education at the Chinese Artists Association and the elite training session of Zhou Shaohua studio under the China National Art Academy of Painting respectively in 2007 and 2008. Now she is member of the Chinese Artists Association and Deputy Secretary-General of the Institute of Chinese Landscape Painting.
2003: Golden Autumn won the Award of Excellence in the third Huabiao Competition of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy;
2003: Red Cherry won the Silver medal in the Chinese Painting Exhibition in Macau;
2004: Early Spring won the Silver Award in the Art Exhibition to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Deng Xiaoping;
2006: Autumn of the Homeland was presented at the 2006 National Chinese Painting Exhibition;
2006: Golden Autumn was presented at the National Chinese Painting Exhibition to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Chinese art master Li Kuchan;

—品陈虹山水画
作为西部山水画家, 陈虹十多年来不畏艰辛,以一个西部女子独有的热忱和执着行走于山水、漠野之间,体验生活、感悟生命。是西域的山川大漠赋予了她大气魄、大境界的美感追求,她创造的冰山山水画,具有一套完善的笔墨语言和成熟的技巧,充分体现了她的个性化风格和对人生的自然理解与感悟,因而成为一种具有现代意识与浩然风范、介于意象与抽象之间的现代山水画。她以粗犷、奔放、雄浑、博大的气势、以她对冰山的理解和自然景观的深刻感悟,为西域的地貌山川注入了令人深刻的人文内涵和时代精神,用自己独特的绘画语言书写出她对西域冰山、南疆红岩、荒漠、驼队、胡杨、风雪的诗意感受。
作为一个立足传统犹在不断开拓求新求变的画家,陈虹女士在对传统充分理解和继承的基础上力求延续拓宽,她以经典的山水范式为参照,对新的表现语言和外来艺术兼收并蓄,闯出了一条颇具新意的山水画之路。她食古但不守旧,追心但不盲从。她善于以超时空的画面构成方式凝聚天地之灵气,以黑白红的强烈对比和冷暖色调的完美结合表现了自然的伟大。她擅长画大幅作品,以大场面、大容量、大气势慑人心魄,画面浑厚,内涵丰富,独特的笔墨语言与图式符号传达着画家的匠心独运和深思熟虑,显示出了鲜明的艺术特色和个人情怀。

Creativity Out of Personality
——A glimpse of Chen Hong’s landscape painting
As a painter of western China’s landscape, Chen Hong, born with the enthusiasm and dedication unique to the people living in western China, has traveled across the mountains, rivers, deserts and fields over a dozen of years to meditate on life, which has endowed her with vision and insight in her aesthetic pursuit. The works of icy mountains created by Chen incorporate mature skills in a well-established painting style, fully embodying her personality, sentiment and understanding of life, and thus making her unique landscape paintings characterized by both modernity and grandeur, both imagery and abstraction. Her rough, bold, powerful and magnificent brushwork, enriched by her deep understanding and perception of the natural landscape, especially icy mountains, has internalized profound culture and spirit of the times into the landscape of western China. With her own unique artistic language, she poured forth her poetical feelings about icy mountains, red rocks, deserts, caravans, poplars, snow and wind in southern Xinjiang.
As a painter striving for creativity yet backed by tradition, Ms. Chen Hong seeks extension on the basis of her thorough understanding of the art heritage, taking the classic landscape paradigm as a reference and converging new expressions with foreign art styles to blaze a new path of landscape painting, which is highly innovative. She draws on classics but never behaves conservatively, following her heart instead of blindly chasing the fashion. Chen has a good way of configuration for cohesion of the universe, stressing the great manifestations of nature with a strong contrast between black and white and red, as well as a perfect combination of cold and warm tones. She is good at drawing large-sized pieces, where big scenes and rich connotations create a breathtaking momentum. In this way, a featured language of figures and symbols take form to convey the artist's imaginative and deep thought, showing distinctive artistic characteristics and personal feelings.
Chen's work carries on the legacy of the Northern Chinese landscape painting style in terms of technique of expression, where steep icy mountains, vast plateau and desert get blended and scattered, overlapping to constitute grand landscape. Meanwhile, she draws from the Southern Chinese landscape painting style to create elegance, with mountains, rivers, deserts, nomads, caravans, poplars and many other elements smartly interwoven so that her paintings turn out to be bold, vigorous and awe-inspiring. In terms of artistic language, Chen assimilates and transforms the brushwork of traditional landscape paintings, and adds new skills to the conventional ones, thereby expressing spirituality of the natural beauty effortlessly through emotional flows and majestic gestures filled with passion and care for humanity. In respect of artistic orientation, she consciously uses painting as a means of expression converged with the contemporary cultural context, growing on the essence of traditional Chinese art while keeping abreast with the times. Standing in front of Chen's work, you will perceive its spectacular manner and appreciate the spirit and passion of heaven and earth as if to touch the artist’s tough character and broad mind.
